The Ninja Foodi DZ550 is the bigger sibling of the DZ201 in this comparison. It keeps the independent dual-basket concept (two zones with their own fan and heating element, Smart Finish so two dishes finish together) but steps up to 10 quarts total (two 5 qt baskets instead of 4) and adds the key difference: a smart probe thermometer.
The probe changes how you cook meat. You pick the doneness (rare, medium and so on), insert it into the cut, and the fryer shuts off on its own when it reaches the internal temperature. No more opening it every two minutes to check a chicken or a steak.

I absolutely love this Ninja air fryer. It is incredibly versatile, easy to use, and everything I’ve made in it has come out great. I’ve used it for potatoes, chicken, reheating food, and more, and I’m honestly impressed every time. The controls are simple, having two separate baskets is extremely convenient, and cleanup is much easier than cooking everything in the oven or on the stove. The food cooks quickly and evenly, and the results are fantastic. I just made drumsticks in it and they were some of the juiciest, most flavorful drumsticks I’ve ever had, with perfectly cooked skin on the outside. This has quickly become one of my favorite appliances in the kitchen. If you want something that is easy, fast, versatile, and actually makes food taste great, I highly recommend it. 5 stars!

This 10Qt NinjaDZ550 Foodi Air Fryer is so good, I bought two of them! So if you have never used an air fryer, you need to understand what they are. They are basically just a small oven with a fan - like a convection oven. Because of the smaller space for food and the design that lets the hot air be blown on all sides of the food (including the bottom), food cooks faster and browns better and stays crispy. They are perfect for cooking frozen foods like frozen French fries, mozzerella sticks, chicken nuggets, egg rolls, etc. so air fryers are awesome for households with teens and college students. They can make their own food in the middle of the night without bothering people or heating up the kitchen. This particular air fryer has two drawers so you can cook two different foods at the same time! It also has a temperature probe that allows you to monitor the internal temp of the food in one drawer. And the best feature is that you can set the cooking temperature and cooking time for each drawer and then press Smart Finish and it will adjust so that both foods are finished at the same time! Beyond that, each drawer holds 5Qts of food so this is a true, family size, air fryer. I have two college kids still at home and they often cook very late at night. They both LOVE this air fryer because it's easy to set and to clean and it's quiet and will even cook a steak or pork chop or chicken breast with ease. I bought silicone baskets for the drawers so clean up is so easy that the kids actually do it. Just take the basket out and wash it under the sink or in the dishwasher. If you have never used an air fryer, just remember that it's a small oven and can do anything you can do in an oven. Even bake! I bought a couple of air fryer books with recipes to get me started and they are super helpful. You will get the hang.of it pretty quickly. My.husband and I are old and honestly, this is great for us, too. I like reheating things in this as well as making a meal for just the two of us. It works so well, I bought a second one for our little shack at the coast. It's that good!

Top notch air fryer! We switched from a single basket and it makes cooking very convenient. The match cook and smart cook timing so that both baskets end together is very nice for busy evenings. We have had no issues with the quality of cooking. The baskets are very easy to clean.
