Analisis
A favor

This mini air fryer is fantastic! It’s compact, easy to use, and cooks food quickly with crispy, delicious results. It’s perfect for small meals, snacks, and reheating leftovers without taking up much counter space. The controls are simple, cleanup is easy thanks to the nonstick basket, and the included recipe app is a nice bonus. Excellent quality for the price—I would definitely purchase this air fryer again.

I purchased the Instant 2qt mini air fryer based on a recommendation from an organization that does reviews. I was late to get on the air fryer train, but I'm glad I did. If you don't need to air fry much and don't want to give up too much counter space, this is great. If you're preparing solo meals, this size mostly suffices. If you have a partner or kids, you may want something bigger or with two baskets. However, I picked this because it's all I needed AND the review said it cooks consistently. Apparently larger air fryers can produce more inconsistent results. Size: The basket is roughly 6.75 inches x 6.75 inches, with (just a guess) about 2 inches of comfortable space between the bottom tray and what I believe is the fill line. Would you want to fill it that full? Absolutely not. (If only the marketing materials weren't blatantly misrepresenting how much you can actually fit into this little guy. Or any air fryer.) One standard size block of tofu, cut into reasonably sized pieces, fills the bottom of the basket in a single layer. Does a good job at cooking two hash brown patties, or a single serving of tots. I've reheated single slices of pizza in it for a little bit of extra crispiness on leftovers. Tempura chicken works great, no surprises there. I have not yet achieved comfort with trying to air fry fries -- sometimes they get burnt, and I'm cautious to not cause too much layering. Sadly, I am only able to comfortably fit one piece of frozen breaded salmon in it, but it does a great job at crisping those up. The inner tray is held in place with some silicone "tabs" that offer less resistance if any oil gets applied or comes off of your food, but it has yet to accidentally fall out. Not too noisy. I don't have anything to compare to, but I am not bothered by this at all. Unlike many modern appliances, it is only capable of a simple beep; no songs! Joy! The user interface is simple. However, I suspect the different functions it has are only for show. At best, they control whether you have any predetermine preheat time, and maybe offer a memory for temp/time. As far as I know, the fan is always running, so you don't get to opt-out of air fryer mode. I am skeptical of the knob. Like some old/faulty volume knobs, sometimes "down" actually means "up" and vice versa, but it seems to MOSTLY work. That may be the annoying mode of failure for this device. I will keep an eye on it.

i've used it every day since i received it two weeks ago and am happy with this Instapot Vortex. As a carnivore, frying meat and bacon on the stove is a messy affair and frequently set off the smoke alarms. Now I cook bacon and the meats in the air fryer, it's fast, no grease spattering all over the stovve and me ! Easy clean up. I like the simplicity of use and it's quiet. My only question is why the ding to tell me to turn the food is set so low. I see other buyers here saying they want to turn it off as I guess it's too loud for them but I can barely hear mine and wish I could turn up the volume. PS: I don't have a hearing problem. I bought a kitchen timer to remind me to turn the food half way thru the cycle so not a big deal. One other thing..it would help if there was more space for food to expand (like muffins or any baked item) so it wouldn't get so close to the element and brown too quicklyy or even burn. But for the low end model and mini size this is great for my needs.

This is my first air fryer. I live alone and have a small kitchen, wanted something I could put away in a cabinet when not in use, and this fits the bill. The fan noise is not a big deal (and when it's cold I love holding my hands next to the exhaust vent for the warm air), it had a plasticky smell the first 2-3 times I used it (I did wash the basket before use), but now it smells fine. Cleaning is a breeze - I spray the basket with water vigorously right after cooking and that's usually enough. Some things, like roasting drippy tomatillos, burned the juice to the bottom. A quick soak and then a wipe with a sponge and it was clean again. So far everything I've cooked I've just done at 400 (the air fry temperature), but it's easy to change the temperature and the time. I like the "food turn" beeps around 2/3 of the way through the time as well as when it's preheated and when it's done. The basket is too short to roast a whole red bell pepper (even after removing the tray from the basket), but cutting the pepper in half and putting foil under it worked great. I've also roasted thinner chiles whole (hatch, anaheim, jalapeno, pasilla), and it doesn't set off my fire alarm the way my broiler does, while still cooking the whole chiles enough that the skin blackened and came right off. Other successes: roasting nuts, baking pie crust cookies, falafel, broccoli (had to learn to put the stems in way early and only put the florets in at the end because they'll burn), roasting garlic or onions or tomatillos, crisping up tofu, sweet potato fries, butternut squash. So far I haven't used any recipes for time and temperature - I've done everything at 400 and put it on for 20 minutes and just keep checking it for doneness until I figure out what works. I think I'm going to try caramelizing bananas next. This thing is fun! I can't make enough sweet potato fries as I want in a single batch, but I can make as many as I should probably eat in one sitting. It's plenty big enough to make as much broccoli as I want, go figure.
